Homelessness
Provide young people with tools & resources to improve their conditions
We strive to eliminate barriers that disrupt equitable access across the social determinants of health: the conditions and societal circumstances in which people are born, live, work and age.
Mental health is a crisis intrinsically linked to homelessness.
According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, at minimum 140,000 individuals, or about 25% of the unhoused population, suffers from mental illness. Part of our mission is to provide the treatment needed for homeless youths to achieve autonomy.
Meet & help youth within their current situations.
Remove the friction of seeking assistance. Access to information and transportation is not a guarantee, let’s endeavor to find and administer aid to affected youth within their current situations.
Improve the transition of young people to care programs.
Improve the transition of young people from foster care, juvenile corrections, and other systems. Institutions such as foster care and juvenile corrections all-too-often leave youth without a next step.
Enabling communities committed to making positive change.
Eliminate barriers that disrupt equitable access across the social determinates of health: the conditions and societal circumstances in which people are born, live, work and age.
